Xiaoma Zhixing Launches 24/7 Autonomous Driving Tests in Major Cities

On July 25, Xiaoma Zhixing announced that it has commenced 24/7 autonomous driving tests in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. The testing hours have been expanded from the original schedule of 7 AM to 11 PM to continuous 24-hour operations. According to statistics, public transport capacity during late night hours typically falls below 30% of daytime levels. With the launch of 24/7 testing, Xiaoma Zhixing aims to explore practical scenarios for autonomous driving during nighttime through comprehensive testing and research across all scenes and times, addressing the challenges of late-night travel. Xiaoma Zhixing stated that it has accumulated over 50 million kilometers of autonomous driving testing mileage across multiple cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and overseas locations. The testing scenarios and data encompass various lighting conditions, road conditions, and peak traffic hours, boasting an industry-leading experience of 500,000 hours of fully autonomous operations. Earlier in mid-July, Xiaoma Zhixing revealed that the BAIC ARCFOX Alpha T5 Robotaxi, equipped with its seventh-generation autonomous driving system, began road testing in Shenzhen. The seventh-generation ARCFOX Alpha T5 autonomous vehicle features a total of 34 sensors, including LiDAR, cameras, millimeter-wave radar, microphones, water sensors, and collision sensors, enabling all-weather, all-scenario, and all-time autonomous driving capabilities that cover integrated operations from urban areas to highways and ring roads. Currently, Xiaoma Zhixing's seventh-generation autonomous vehicles have obtained Level 4 autonomous driving testing permits in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, paving the way for a smooth rollout of a fleet of 1,000 autonomous vehicles in the second half of the year and accelerating testing accumulations in urban areas, highways, and ring roads. Officials stated that as Xiaoma Zhixing's seventh-generation autonomous vehicles are scaled up in major cities, this 'insomniac system' is reshaping urban operational logic. Xiaoma Zhixing will continue to explore the commercial potential and social value of autonomous driving services, enriching travel options for people and unleashing nighttime productivity.
