Smart Cockpit Supply Chain Competition Intensifies in China

Smart Cockpit Supply Chain Competition Intensifies in China
As one of the core battlegrounds for automotive intelligence upgrades, the competitive landscape of the smart cockpit supply chain is rapidly evolving. According to a report by Gaishi Automotive Research Institute, from January to May 2025, the ranking of smart cockpit suppliers by installation volume shows significant market differentiation and a pronounced head effect. Leading companies have established a significant competitive advantage in various areas: from cockpit domain controllers (with Desay SV leading), chips (Qualcomm holding 75.9%), to voice interaction (iFlytek commanding 40.3%). The rise of local suppliers is a key trend, challenging and even surpassing traditional international giants in core segments such as domain controllers (Desay SV, Yikatong), HUDs (Huayang Multimedia leading), central control screens (with local suppliers occupying four of the top five spots), and voice technology (dominated by iFlytek and Sobot). The detailed data is as follows: In the cockpit domain controller supplier ranking, Desay SV leads with an installation volume of 507,093 sets, capturing 15.8% market share. Bosch follows with 306,900 sets (9.5%), and Carlinkworld with 237,677 sets (7.4%). Other notable suppliers include Yikatong, Pegatron/Quanta (Tesla), and others. The market exhibits a clear head effect, with the top three suppliers accounting for 32.7% of the market share. In the cockpit domain controller chip market, Qualcomm dominates with an installation volume of 2,476,008 chips (75.9% market share), followed by AMD with 6.4%. Local companies like Huawei and Xintai also show strong presence, collectively holding nearly 10% market share. In the HUD supplier ranking, Huayang Multimedia leads with 304,021 sets (22.2%). The competition in the second tier is heating up with companies like Denso and Zejing Electronics. In the AR-HUD segment, Huayang Multimedia again tops the list with 99,582 sets (24.9%). For central control screen integration, Desay SV leads with 1,488,222 sets (18.6%), followed closely by BYD. In the liquid crystal instrument cluster market, Desay SV holds a strong position with 1,120,517 sets (14.9%). Lastly, in the voice technology supplier ranking, iFlytek dominates with 2,865,213 sets (40.3% market share), reflecting the strong competitiveness of local suppliers in the smart cockpit field. The data reveals an accelerating trend towards localization and competition within the automotive supply chain in China.
