smart China Officially Releases Smart #5 EHD (Plug-in Hybrid) Images
Recently, smart China officially released images of the smart #5 EHD (plug-in hybrid version). The new vehicle continues the design language of the pure electric version and introduces a new color option called 'Star Whirlpool Blue.' With a comprehensive range exceeding 1600 kilometers, the new car is expected to be unveiled soon. As a new power version model, it retains the overall design style of the pure electric version but features some adjustments in details. For instance, the front bumper has a new design, and the styles of the side ventilation openings and the license plate frame have also been changed. Additionally, the introduction of the 'Star Whirlpool Blue' color further enriches consumer choices. The rear of the vehicle has also seen minor adjustments, with a new style for the central trim of the rear bumper and a recessed area for the license plate installation. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4705mm in length, 1920mm in width, and 1710mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900mm, boasting a class-leading space efficiency of 85%. For power, the new model will be equipped with a 1.5T engine produced by Aurora Bay Technology Co., Ltd., model BHE15-CFZ, with a maximum power output of 120 kW. It will also include a lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL, offering an electric range of over 250km and a comprehensive range exceeding 1600km, with a low fuel consumption rate of 4.4L/100km under CLTC conditions.
