Recently, it has been reported that the prototype of the all-electric Range Rover has officially debuted, marking Land Rover's first fully electric product. The company claims it to be the quietest and most refined Range Rover ever. The new model is set to be officially launched by the end of 2025, with deliveries starting in 2026. From the official images, although referred to as a prototype, it closely resembles the production version. The overall design retains the styling of the fuel-powered Range Rover, with a semi-closed grille at the front and headlight units consistent with the gasoline variant. Additionally, Land Rover has stated that the new model will not feature a front trunk, as its storage capability is already substantial. The side profile and rear design are largely similar to the fuel version, with the main change being that the fuel filler cap on the right rear has been replaced by a charging port. The vehicle's total weight is approximately 2800 kg, and to ensure sufficient storage capacity, only a 5-seat version will be offered. In terms of power, the new model is built on the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) platform, equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a total power of 550 PS and a torque of 850 N·m. It features an 800V electrical architecture and a battery capacity of 117 kWh, with a WLTP range of 531 km. Fast charging from 10% to 80% takes 25 minutes, and it has a wading depth of 850 mm. More information about this new vehicle will be continuously monitored and reported by Car Quality Network.
