212 T01 Diesel Version Officially Announced

Recently, the official declaration information for the 212 T01 diesel version has been released. The new vehicle is positioned as a compact off-road SUV, with its appearance largely following the design of the currently available model. The most significant change is the replacement of the gasoline engine with a diesel engine, which offers stronger torque and lower fuel consumption. In terms of appearance, the declared model features a green body, and its shape is almost identical to the gasoline version, showcasing a robust boxy design. The dimensions are 4705mm in length, 1895mm in width, and 1936mm in height (2070mm with a roof rack), with a wheelbase of 2860mm. At the rear, the new vehicle continues to use an externally mounted spare tire and a side-opening tailgate, which displays the brand name and model identification. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with towing capacity, allowing for a total towing weight of 2500kg and comes with an electrical connector. For powertrain details, the new model is equipped with a diesel engine, model 4F20TC53, produced by Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd., with a displacement of 1968ml, generating 125kW of power and a net power of 122kW.
