RoboTaxi+ Strategy Unveiled by Qichuxing to Accelerate Commercialization in China

On July 23, Qichuxing held a "Robotaxi+" strategy launch conference in Guangzhou, announcing that it will leverage its platform's resource aggregation advantages and operational service experience to provide comprehensive solutions to local regulatory authorities, autonomous driving technology companies, and other ecosystem partners, aiming to expedite the large-scale commercialization of Robotaxis. Based on the "Robotaxi+" strategy, Qichuxing plans to expand its Robotaxi operations to 100 core cities over the next five years and build a fleet of over 10,000 Robotaxis in collaboration with partners. The company will also promote a billion-level investment plan to establish a three-tier Robotaxi operational maintenance network covering 100 core cities, creating the capability to support the offline maintenance of 100,000 Robotaxis annually. According to a research report from Goldman Sachs in May 2025, China's Robotaxi market is expected to experience explosive growth, reaching a market size of $47 billion by 2035, growing nearly 700 times compared to 2025, with over 25% of shared mobility capacity contributed by Robotaxis. Qichuxing CEO Jiang Hua stated, "The future of mobility services will inevitably be Robotaxis." He emphasized that the Robotaxi sector has entered a phase of competition based on implementation capabilities, where the ability to achieve large-scale commercial deployment will determine the eligibility of players to remain in the field. As Robotaxis enter the stage of large-scale commercialization, the ability for large-scale operations will inevitably become the focus of industry competition, and public transportation governance will face new challenges. The effectiveness of reliable oversight in facilitating efficient deployment will also determine whether the industry can develop on a positive trajectory. The core of the "Robotaxi+" strategy is "a single platform," upgrading the existing open Robotaxi operational technology platform to an open "Robotaxi+" platform, which will continue to leverage the openness of the mobility platform for all Robotaxis that meet local regulatory standards. Additionally, the "Robotaxi+" platform will aggregate high-quality industry chain resources to provide a comprehensive Robotaxi large-scale operational solution for all participants in Robotaxi commercialization, including asset operation plans and operational maintenance plans, maximizing vehicle asset efficiency through efficient operation and cost control, while ensuring transparent data throughout the vehicle operation process, efficient oversight, and safety. To accelerate the implementation of the "Robotaxi+" strategy, Qichuxing also launched the "Spark Plan" and "Galaxy Plan" to focus on expanding the Robotaxi fleet scale and operational infrastructure. As of the end of June 2025, Qichuxing's platform operated over 300 Robotaxis, covering service areas in Guangzhou Nansha, Shenzhen Baoan, Nanshan, and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, with over 4,000 operational stations and a safe operational distance exceeding 4 million kilometers. Since its Robotaxi service was launched three years ago, it has become a part of the daily lives and work of many residents in the Greater Bay Area. For example, in Guangzhou Nansha, the order volume in the first half of 2025 increased by over 480%.
