New Tank 500 New Energy Model Officially Unveiled
The official images of the new Tank 500 New Energy model have been released recently. Compared to the previous version, the main change is the addition of a LiDAR system on the roof, enhancing its driver assistance capabilities. In terms of appearance, the new vehicle continues the design language of the current model, featuring a robust and angular body paired with a large front grille adorned with bold horizontal chrome accents, creating a visually impressive and dignified look. The new Tank 500 New Energy model is expected to be equipped with Great Wall Motors' third-generation intelligent driving assistance system, adding a full-scene NOA function to improve the driving experience. It is reported that the vehicle uses Hesai's ATX LiDAR, which is 60% smaller and 50% lighter than the Hesai AT128 LiDAR, while achieving longer detection distance, better resolution, and a wider field of view. Inside, the new car retains a similar style to the current model, utilizing a lot of straight lines to create a minimalist atmosphere. Additionally, it features a large floating central control screen, a foldable rear entertainment screen, and an onboard refrigerator, greatly enhancing the comfort of rear passengers. In terms of power, it is expected to be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 2.0T engine and an electric motor, with the 2.0T engine delivering a maximum power of 185 kW. More information on the new car will be continuously monitored and reported by Chezhijia.
