In recent years, the integration of AI large models into vehicles has become a hot topic, especially following the rapid rise of DeepSeek earlier this year. Many automakers have announced plans to quickly adopt these large models. During the Shanghai Auto Show, we reviewed several popular new models from emerging companies and joint ventures to assess their experiences with AI integration. Many joint venture brands seem unclear about the actual applications of AI large models in their vehicles. Recently, the Nissan N7 completed its first OTA update, introducing several AI-related features. Let's explore whether this vehicle's intelligent cockpit experience can stand out among joint venture brands. Contrary to the belief that joint venture car buyers do not prioritize smart features, data from Nissan reveals that 62% of Nissan N7 owners opted for the higher-spec Max version, which offers a 15.6-inch display, Qualcomm 8295P chip, and large memory of 32+256GB, reflecting a significant investment in hardware. On the software side, the Nissan N7 runs on the self-developed NISSAN OS by a Chinese team, with support from partners like iFlytek. The OTA update prominently featured enhancements to the voice assistant 'Xiao Ni,' which can now utilize specific AI agents to improve response efficiency and accuracy for a variety of inquiries. Additionally, the new 'Parent-Child Space' feature in the app offers entertainment options such as nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and games suitable for children. Notably, the N7 can automatically activate this feature if it detects a child crying through its in-car camera and AI algorithms. For parents with curious toddlers, the upgraded AI capabilities of 'Xiao Ni' can serve as a knowledgeable companion. Beyond these AI features, the Nissan N7 also showcases unique considerations for family-oriented driving. The 'Smart Scene' feature is now commonplace in smart vehicles, and Nissan provides diverse preset scenarios like 'On Duty' and 'Relaxing Home.' However, considering individual usage needs, customizable scenes are essential. While the industry typically requires manual selection of triggers and functions, the N7 allows users to create custom scenes with a simple voice command. Furthermore, for health-conscious drivers, the N7 includes a 'Health Monitoring' function in its 'Smart Perception' app, which can assess heart rate, blood oxygen, and blood pressure using the in-car OMS camera. Although, like smartwatch heart rate monitoring, these readings are for reference only and should not be over-interpreted. In conclusion, how do you view the intelligent features of the Nissan N7? Compared to emerging brands, the N7's intelligence seems more focused on family and practicality, providing warmth, fun, and safety for all passengers.
