On July 4, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its Formula E championship, NIO officially launched a series of Championship Edition models, including the new ET5, new ET5T, and new EC6. Users can choose to upgrade. The starting price for the new ET5 and new ET5T Championship Edition is 316,000 yuan, with a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) purchase option starting at 246,000 yuan; the starting price for the new EC6 Championship Edition is 370,000 yuan, with a BaaS purchase option starting at 300,000 yuan. The Championship Edition models are inspired by the classic livery of the championship race cars, featuring exclusive wheels and racing green brake calipers as standard. All optional body colors are available; the interiors have been upgraded to a sportier style with a gray and racing green color scheme and abundant use of Alcantara and microfiber materials for a luxurious feel. The exclusive "Champion Edition" badge on the seatbacks, door sills, and rear of the vehicle continuously reminds users of its unique identity. The new ET5 and new ET5T Championship Edition models have upgraded chassis hardware, combined with exclusive software tuning to enhance the driving experience. The exclusive exterior design incorporates racing aesthetics, with the new ET5, new ET5T, and new EC6 Championship Edition models featuring unique styling that inherits design elements from the FE championship race cars. The standout racing green color complements the popular moonlit silver exterior, perfectly replicating the classic livery of the NIO FE championship race car. The flowing metallic sheen outlines a dynamic posture; the matte metallic Moon appearance kit emphasizes the sporty passion. The new ET5 and new ET5T Championship Edition come with newly designed 20-inch five-spoke wheels, enhancing the racing feel. The new EC6 Championship Edition features 21-inch hollow-style five-spoke wheels paired with racing green high-performance brake calipers, making the racing genes a key sensory element. Additionally, users can order carbon fiber optional kits for the Championship Edition models through the NIO car mall, including a bespoke carbon fiber rear spoiler, mirror covers, and wheel covers for the new ET5. The unique and delicate texture of carbon fiber adds personalized details to racing aesthetics. All Championship Edition models come with a dedicated theme interior, featuring gray as the primary color with racing green contrasting stitching and seat belts, enhancing the sporty atmosphere of the cabin. All three models are equipped with microfiber upholstery for the seats, with headrests and upper seats embossed with NIO and Champion Edition 2015 branding. The roof and pillars are also lined with microfiber material, elevating the design aesthetic. To optimize steering feel, the steering wheel is made of Alcantara material, enabling more effortless control. The new ET5 and new ET5T Championship Edition models feature exclusive sporty chassis software tuning. The front anti-roll bar diameter has increased to 33mm, with wall thickness increased by 0.2mm; the rear anti-roll bar diameter has been upgraded to 22mm, with wall thickness increased by 0.25mm, enhancing overall torsional stiffness by 6%. This results in improved body roll control within 3 degrees per g, while exclusive software tuning enhances body roll suppression, providing better cornering support and more efficient steering response, ensuring an enjoyable driving experience. All new ET5, new ET5T, and new EC6 models are equipped with a continuously variable damper control system (CDC), actively adjusting suspension stiffness 500 times per second to maintain body stability. The 4D global comfort navigation feature anticipates bumps and adjusts chassis parameters in advance. The new rear subframe hydraulic bush upgrade, alongside new EPS calibration and software tuning for electronic control and shock absorbers, enhances overall driving quality. The new ET5 and new ET5T have been upgraded with a new EP Mode, supporting 11 levels of independent damping adjustment for the front and rear axles, achieving a race-level custom driving experience. The AI dynamically adjusts the suspension stiffness and cooling system, catering to five driving scenarios: daily, track, launch, drift, and mountain driving, satisfying diverse driving pleasures. The Championship Edition models will be available starting July 5. Customers can also enjoy limited-time purchasing benefits if they order before July 31, 2025, such as 5 years of interest-free financing, 5 years of free battery swaps, and free use of the full-scenario navigation assist for five years, along with various exclusive model benefits and trade-in perks, making July a month full of surprises for car buyers.
