New Volkswagen T-ROC R Spy Photos Released
Recently, a set of spy photos of the new Volkswagen T-ROC R has been revealed, showcasing a test vehicle based on the Golf R. The standard version of the new Volkswagen T-ROC (known as T-ROC in China) is set to make its official debut at the Munich Motor Show in September, while the T-ROC R is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2027. Currently, the vehicle is merely a test car based on the Volkswagen Golf R, featuring higher ground clearance and more pronounced fenders. We will have to wait a bit longer to see what the closer-to-production model will look like. In terms of power, the new vehicle is expected to be equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, anticipated to exceed 300 horsepower and feature an all-wheel-drive system. According to previous reports, the new Volkswagen T-ROC will be built on the MQB Evo platform, adopting a new family design language. It will continue to offer both gasoline and diesel engine options. Additionally, a hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor is slated for release in 2026, which will include an all-electric driving mode.
