On July 11, GAC Group Chairman and General Manager Feng Xingya attended the 2025 China Automotive Forum and delivered a speech. Feng stated that GAC has been actively learning from outstanding enterprises. Last week, he made a special trip to Shenzhen to visit Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, where they engaged in in-depth discussions on current trends in the automotive industry, marketing innovation, customer insights, corporate governance reform, and the advancement of cooperative projects. In the future, GAC and Huawei will further deepen their comprehensive strategic cooperation to jointly promote high-quality development in the industry. In March of this year, it was reported that GAC Group launched the 'Starling Intelligent Mobility' technology brand to accelerate the progress of intelligent technology and challenge the global leader in intelligent driving. The introduction of Starling Intelligent Mobility is a key part of GAC Group's 'Intelligent Mobility 2027' action plan, marking an important step towards advancing intelligent driving technology and promoting equality in intelligent driving. It is known that GAC Group primarily adopts two technical routes in the field of intelligent driving: 'multi-sensor fusion' and 'pure visual perception without maps.' Last year, GAC Group announced that its L2++ level, map-free urban NDA function developed based on multi-sensor fusion technology has achieved nationwide coverage, and the map-free pure visual intelligent driving system is planned to be equipped in vehicles by 2026, which could significantly reduce the cost of high-level intelligent driving.
