All-New Tank 500 Hi4-Z to Begin Pre-Sales in August
Recently, it was reported that the all-new Tank 500 Hi4-Z will start pre-sales in August, with an official market launch expected in the third quarter. As a facelift model, the all-new Tank 500 Hi4-Z features upgrades in design and configuration, including a new 'Dunhuang Green' color option, while maintaining its plug-in hybrid powertrain. The design remains consistent with the current model, featuring a front grille adorned with horizontal chrome strips, inspired by the traditional Chinese architectural style of the 'upturned eaves'. This design creates a visual effect of 'flying eaves' in conjunction with the headlight assembly. The new model is equipped with a laser radar on the roof to support the CoffeePilot Ultra driving assistance system. The side profile exhibits a straight character line that runs from the front to the rear, referred to as the 'Chengtian Waistline', which highlights its grandeur. The taillight design draws inspiration from ancient palace architecture, showcasing a refined internal structure for high recognition. The all-new Tank 500 Hi4-Z introduces the 'Dunhuang Green' color, inspired by Dunhuang murals, using nano-grade pigments and ceramic varnish, combined with an 8-layer spraying process. The interior layout remains similar to the current model, featuring a full LCD instrument panel and a floating central control screen, equipped with the Coffee OS 3 vehicle system. In terms of details, the new model adopts a column-mounted gear shifter, and the layout of the control buttons in the island area is similar to the new Tank 300, providing two 50W wireless charging pads for mobile phones. The configuration includes a new 17.3-inch rear ceiling screen that supports voice, gesture, touch, and remote control operations. The central armrest box is equipped with a 5.4L refrigerator featuring a 50W independent compressor, adjustable from -6°C to 50°C. Powering the all-new Tank 500 Hi4-Z is a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 2.0T engine and P2+P4 motors, delivering a maximum engine power of 185 kW, with a total system output of 635 kW and a combined torque of 1195 N·m. The new vehicle is paired with a 59.05 kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a WLTC pure electric range of 201 km. More information about the new vehicle will be continuously reported by Chezhuwang.
