GAC Aion's Second-Generation AION V Interior Officially Revealed, Set for July Debut

GAC Aion has officially unveiled the interior of its second-generation AION V SUV, which is scheduled for its official launch in July. The interior design draws inspiration from the “Reading Room in the Sky” concept, blending traditional Chinese cultural elements with modern technology to create a unique and comfortable cabin environment.

The design features a prominent reclining “sofa” and a large central screen, creating a living room-like atmosphere. A standout feature is the foldable refrigerator, and the audio system is a collaborative effort with master sound engineers, featuring 9 speakers. The seats are inspired by the Chaise Lounge from the Ming Dynasty, designed for both comfort and support, and feature 8-point massage, 3-speed ventilation, and heating.

The vehicle’s AI system, powered by the ADiGO SENSE large model, aims to provide an intuitive and interactive experience, with self-learning capabilities that can anticipate user needs. The company claims it has an “IQ of a 12-year-old” and can be continuously upgraded.

The AION V will also feature a new-generation smart cockpit with a 14.6-inch screen and a powerful processor. The front passenger seat can be fully reclined to a 137-degree angle, and the front and rear seats can be folded flat to create a 2-meter long bed, effectively turning the car into a “small apartment.”

The second-generation AION V is a global model and the first vehicle to be equipped with Aion’s all-digital intelligent chassis. It boasts a range of 750 km and is built on a 400V platform, but with charging capabilities that rival 800V systems. According to Aion, a 15-minute charge can add 370 km of range. It also features rapid charging capabilities in extreme cold, with charging times reduced by 60% at -15°C.
