Yunnan Launches Electric Vehicle Subsidy Program to Boost Consumption

On July 14, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce announced the launch of a subsidy program aimed at invigorating consumer confidence in new energy vehicles. Starting from July 1, a subsidy of 3,000 yuan will be offered for each purchase of a Hongmeng Zhixing vehicle in Yunnan province. The subsidy funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until depleted. The participation criteria state that individual consumers or legal entities must purchase new energy vehicles equipped with the Hongmeng vehicle system and Huawei's Tuling platform. The order period runs from July 1, 2025, 00:00 to July 31, 2025, 24:00. It's important to note that the subsidies will be issued in the order of invoice issuance time. The funding for this subsidy program will be covered by local sales enterprises associated with Hongmeng Zhixing. Additionally, the Anhui Automobile Dealers Association announced a similar promotional activity from July 9 to July 31, 2025, providing a cash subsidy of 3,000 yuan for each vehicle purchased in Anhui province, limited to 1,200 vehicles with a total budget of 3.6 million yuan. Similar subsidy policies have also been announced in regions such as Henan and Hunan.
