Xpeng Motors Delivers 150,000 MONA M03 Units, Maintains Lead in Electric A-Class Sedan Market

On July 22, Xpeng Motors announced that its MONA M03 model has accumulated 150,000 deliveries, achieving over 10,000 deliveries for ten consecutive months and securing the top position in the pure electric A-class sedan market for the same duration. The MONA M03, the first model launched under Xpeng's second brand MONA, was released on August 27, 2024, with deliveries starting in September at a price range of 119,800 to 155,800 CNY. Initial data showed that within 52 minutes of its launch, pre-orders exceeded 10,000 units, and within 48 hours, they surpassed 30,000 units. In May of this year, Xpeng introduced four new variants of the MONA M03, which include the 515 Long Range Plus, 620 Ultra Long Range Plus, 502 Long Range Max, and 600 Ultra Long Range Max, with official prices ranging from 119,800 to 139,800 CNY. The 502 and 600 versions are the more advanced Max configurations, which feature dual Orin-X chips, claiming to offer the strongest driver assistance system in their class. Official reports indicate that within one hour of its launch, the Xpeng MONA M03 AI Smart Electric Hatchback received 12,566 pre-orders, exceeding the performance of the same period last year, with Max version orders accounting for 83%. The MONA M03 Max series is equipped with Xpeng's self-developed 'Turing AI System' platform and features two Orin-X chips, achieving a total computing power of 508 TOPS. In terms of driving experience, the MONA M03 Max introduces a 'Human-Machine Co-Driving' concept, where the system does not automatically disengage when manual intervention is required during NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot), and the AI does not forcibly take control of the steering wheel. This design enables seamless collaboration between the user and AI, effectively addressing common control conflicts in traditional driver assistance systems when boundary judgments are unclear. The MONA M03 Max version offers long-range options of 502 km and 600 km, while the Plus variants provide 515 km and 620 km long-range options.
