Tianma has unveiled a new dual 13-inch multi-curvature black OLED display, designed with curvature radii ranging from R800mm to R2160mm to meet the streamlined aesthetic needs of automotive interiors. The module boasts an overall reflectance of 0.5% and a Delta E of less than 0.8, rendering the dual-screen boundary invisible when off. When lit, it offers the appearance of a seamless large OLED screen. This display utilizes Tianma's SLOD (Stacked Layer OLED Device) technology and TPOT (Touch Panel on Thin Film Encapsulation) technology, resulting in high contrast, high brightness, narrow bezels, and low power consumption, thus ensuring a thinner, lighter screen with a longer lifespan, enhancing driving safety.
Unique Advantages:
1. Dual-Screen Multi-Curvature Design: Curvature radii from R800mm to R2160mm with a gradient design that highlights the advantages of flexible OLED displays while providing ideas for the integration of screens with streamlined interior designs.
2. Integrated Black Design: Utilizing Corning's latest coating technology for dual-screen integration, achieving an overall reflectance of 0.5% and a Delta E of less than 0.8. When off, it visually appears as a single large screen, enhancing the aesthetic in a multi-screen cockpit environment.
3. Ultra-Thin Design: The display's thickness is only 6.5mm, providing a lightweight and aesthetically pleasing appearance, while also saving space in the cockpit.
This automotive-grade OLED display offers excellent performance and innovative design, perfectly catering to the needs of high-end cockpits. Highlights include:
1. Ultimate Black, Higher Quality: Integrated black ΔE 0.78, resembling a single large screen for a truly 'invisible' appearance.
2. Multi-Curvature, Better Fit: The curvature from R800mm to R2160mm adapts better to the streamlined design of the cockpit.
3. High Brightness, Better Readability: 10% APL >1500nit enhances the readability of pure black OLED screens, with text brightness reaching 1100nit, ensuring both an integrated black effect and excellent readability.
4. Wide Color Gamut, More Vivid: >103% (NTSC), enhancing the rich color experience.
5. High Contrast, More Clarity: Richer details and clearer layering.
6. Extremely Thin, Lighter: At 6.5mm, it simplifies and beautifies cockpit space.
Future Prospects: Tianma’s product addresses multiple user concerns, delivering direct benefits to consumers. It resolves color discrepancy issues between the screen and CG Lens, achieving Delta E <0.8 and reflectance of 0.5%, allowing for seamless integration. It also tackles cost issues related to large screen adhesion, achieving a large screen visual effect at a more competitive manufacturing cost compared to traditional methods. Furthermore, it enhances screen readability in bright conditions through innovative SLOD technology and high reflectance contrast, ensuring user safety while driving.
Environmental Considerations:
1. High Recyclability: The cold bending design offers excellent optical properties, enabling more economical industrial production and contributing to global warming reduction, with cold-bent glass containing 24% recycled materials, potentially lowering global warming potential by up to 25%.
2. Cost-Effective: The display achieves a large screen visual effect at a more competitive cost compared to traditional large screen adhesion methods.
3. Low Carbon Footprint: Tianma's SLOD technology features low power consumption and long lifespan, supporting environmental sustainability.
