On July 21, Tesla announced that its Model 3 has surpassed 3 million units in global sales, maintaining its position as the world's best-selling electric sedan for seven consecutive years, averaging one sale every 1.5 minutes. At the same time, Tesla introduced a limited-time insurance subsidy of 8,000 yuan for the Model 3. Specifically, the rear-wheel drive version starts at 227,500 yuan after the subsidy; the long-range all-wheel drive version starts at 277,500 yuan; and the high-performance all-wheel drive version starts at 331,500 yuan. As a popular model in the domestic electric vehicle market, the Model 3 was launched in 2017. Previously, Tesla declared the Model 3+ in the new product announcement published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. From the appearance images released by the ministry, the Model 3+ maintains a high degree of consistency in overall shape with the current Model 3, featuring a closed front design with a continuous light strip, compact bumper lines that emphasize aerodynamic efficiency, and a sleek side profile with hidden door handles to reduce drag. The tail design has not undergone structural changes, retaining the LED tail lights and rounded tailgate layout. Notably, the dimensions of the Model 3+ are 4720/1848/1442 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2875 mm, identical to the current Model 3. In terms of power, the new vehicle is equipped with a rear motor with a maximum power output of 225 kW, which is an increase of 31 kW compared to the 194 kW rear motor of the current model. According to Tesla's latest data, in the second quarter of this year, the company's vehicle production and sales reached 410,200 and 384,100 units, respectively, with Model 3/Y accounting for 396,800 and 373,700 units.
