SAIC Beijing and LimX Dynamics Establish Strategic Partnership for Embodied Intelligence

On July 24, Shanghai Automotive Group (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'SAIC Beijing') and LimX Dynamics officially signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in Beijing, announcing the establishment of a long-term strategic partnership and the creation of a Joint Laboratory for Embodied Intelligence. This collaboration aims to promote technological innovation, research and development synergy, and talent cultivation in the automotive industry chain. SAIC Beijing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIC Group, has deep expertise in automotive manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management, with capabilities covering the entire chain of system construction and engineering implementation. The partnership will focus on key technologies in embodied intelligence, establishing a joint laboratory to jointly develop crucial capabilities such as embodied robotic algorithms for automotive scenarios, system development, and toolchain deployment. LimX Dynamics will provide common technologies for embodied intelligence, including various types of robotic bodies, full-body motion control algorithms, VLA model frameworks, data engines, and toolchain platforms, assisting SAIC Beijing in building its own embodied intelligence system development capabilities. This will gradually form a complete R&D process from data collection and model training to system testing, while also cultivating a specialized technical talent team. Furthermore, combining SAIC Beijing's system integration capabilities with LimX Dynamics' general technologies in embodied intelligence, both parties will work together to create collaborative results and benchmark cases in the automotive field, promoting the realization of the value of embodied intelligence technology in the automotive industry chain. Additionally, LimX Dynamics has also reached a cooperation intention with the Shanghai Robotics Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. As the implementation entity of the National Robot Detection and Evaluation Center (Headquarters), the research institute will provide professional support to LimX Dynamics in robot detection certification, standard formulation, and data collection systems. Both sides will focus on quality control of robots, building common datasets, and co-developing standardization capabilities, jointly pushing for breakthroughs in core technologies in the industry and accelerating the transformation and implementation of research results in the intersection of embodied intelligence and artificial intelligence. Officials stated that in the future, SAIC Beijing and LimX Dynamics will rely on the Joint Laboratory to collaboratively build an ecological system for embodied intelligence robotics technology and applications, linking upstream and downstream resources in the industry, and extending scalable, replicable technical solutions to a broader automotive industry chain, jointly creating a new paradigm of industrial cooperation in the era of embodied intelligence.
