Recently, it was reported that the Porsche Cayenne EV is expected to officially launch and deliver next year, with a starting price of $90,000. The new vehicle is built on the PPE platform and features a pure electric powertrain. While performance specifications have not yet been disclosed, significant surprises are anticipated. In terms of design, the new model adopts the same design language as the Porsche Macan EV, featuring split headlights with four light sources that make it easily recognizable when lit. Notably, the rear design shows significant changes compared to the current Porsche Cayenne, with a more square and robust overall silhouette, incorporating a grille design in the lower bumper area. In June of this year, a low-camouflage version of the Porsche Cayenne EV was spotted at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in the UK. The driver, a test driver for Porsche's electric formula project, achieved a commanding victory over all competitors, breaking the event's record. Regarding performance, it has been stated that the Porsche Macan EV's specifications will at least match those of the currently available plug-in hybrid model, or even be more powerful. For reference, the Porsche Cayenne plug-in hybrid model is equipped with a 4.0T twin-turbo V8 engine along with an electric motor, producing a combined maximum power of 544 kW and a maximum torque of 950 N·m. More updates about the new vehicle will be closely monitored and reported by the relevant sources.
