Recently, according to Chongqing Daily, on July 4th, the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission drafted the 'Chongqing Support Policies for the Development of Intelligent Connected New Energy Commercial Vehicle Industry (2025-2027) (Draft for Public Consultation)' (hereinafter referred to as 'the Measures') and is soliciting public opinions. The policies will provide financial subsidies of up to 20 million yuan for compliant commercial vehicle companies. According to the Measures, Chongqing will offer financial support ranging from 3 million to 10 million yuan to intelligent connected new energy commercial vehicle enterprises in various areas, including vehicle model development, new construction and technological transformation of core components, and the development of intelligent driving system platforms, with a maximum of 20 million yuan available to a single company. Specifically, for vehicle model development incentives, models with annual sales between 3,000 (inclusive) and 5,000 (exclusive) units will receive a 5 million yuan incentive, while those with annual sales exceeding 5,000 units will receive a 10 million yuan incentive. Regarding new construction and technological transformation of core components, projects related to power batteries and electric drives with an investment of over 100 million yuan may receive an annual loan interest subsidy of up to 10 million yuan. For research and development of intelligent driving system platforms, companies may receive a one-time platform development incentive of up to 10 million yuan. Additionally, commercial vehicle manufacturers that obtain export certification for new energy commercial vehicles and their key components will be rewarded with up to 3 million yuan. The Measures also propose rewards of up to 5 million yuan for financial institutions providing financing leasing services for 1,000 intelligent connected new energy commercial vehicles, as well as for insurance institutions optimizing commercial insurance products for intelligent connected new energy commercial vehicles.
