Recently, a set of spy photos of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class electric vehicle has been obtained from relevant sources. Although the new model is considered the electric version of the C-Class, the differences can be regarded as two completely distinct vehicles. The new car will be produced on the MB.EA platform and is scheduled for an official release in 2026, while the fuel version is expected to debut this summer.
In the spy photos, the vehicle's exterior is still heavily camouflaged, but the closed grille and hidden door handle designs are becoming clearer. The headlight shape is still in the early testing stage and is expected to be replaced with a light cluster featuring the "three-pointed star" design for mass production, creating a family design style.
From the side, we can see two different wheel designs, both featuring a densely-spoked design. Compared to the fuel version, the electric version has side mirrors integrated into the doors, a more streamlined roofline, and a different rear window shape. At the rear, we see the familiar three-pointed star LED taillights, along with a small ducktail design to enhance its sporty feel.
The interior spy shots showcase the central console area. Based on the layout, the new car's interior is expected to continue the design style of the new CLA, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.6-inch central screen, and a 14-inch passenger entertainment screen, all of which emphasize a high-tech feel.
In terms of power, the new car will be manufactured on the MB.EA platform, which means it will have an 800V architecture and is expected to offer both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. Specific power parameters may be referenced from the new fully electric Mercedes-Benz GLC, which is set to be officially unveiled at the Munich Motor Show in September.
