From June 27 to 29, the Suining station of the 2025 China Automotive Hill Climbing Championship was held at the Suining Sports Center, alongside the Chengdu Universiade's "Travel with the Event" series. Lynk & Co participated with its Lynk & Co 03 CUPEVO, its entire range of vehicles, and Zeekr models, bringing a weekend of speed and excitement for mountain racing enthusiasts and spectators. Concurrently, the third round of the 2025 CTCC China Touring Car Championship kicked off at the Zhejiang International Circuit, where Lynk & Co's Jike Team driver secured one win and one second place in the TCR China series with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR car. The Lynk & Co Zongheng Team achieved a clean sweep in the CTCC China Cup, winning two races and taking home two first places, two second places, and two third places.
The China Automotive Hill Climbing Championship (CHC), approved by the General Administration of Sport of China and the China Motor Sports Federation, is the only all-model hill climbing championship in the country. Since 2020, Lynk & Co has been actively involved in this century-old event, representing the LPCC (Lynk & Co Performance Car Club) team in the CHC from 2023 to 2025. The event in Suining was co-hosted by the China Motor Sports Federation, the Suining Hedong New District Management Committee, and the Suining Chuan District People's Government, aimed at promoting the Chengdu Universiade and the charm of sports events.
The competition saw 80 professional drivers from 20 teams gather in Suining, racing on a 17.5-kilometer mountainous road featuring 30% narrow one-way sections, which tested drivers' skills and vehicle performance. This was the first appearance of the Lynk & Co 03 CUPEVO in a hill climbing event, modified from the 2025 Lynk & Co 03 Champion Pro version, maintaining the original performance with additions like a carbon fiber rear wing and upgraded suspension for better track adaptability.
To cater to the mountain racing enthusiasts, Lynk & Co also organized an open group for non-licensed drivers, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of legal mountain driving. The full range of Lynk & Co vehicles, including the Lynk & Co 01, 02HB, 03, and various Zeekr models, were showcased during the event, with LPCC members participating in mountain races.
To ensure safety, Lynk & Co provided driving training for participants based on their skill levels, led by professional instructors. Additionally, a unique challenge inspired by the anime "Initial D" was held, where drivers competed to spill the least amount of tofu during their mountain runs.
In the CTCC events at the Zhejiang International Circuit, the Lynk & Co Jike Team's Zhang Zhiqiang and Zhu Daiwei drove the 03 TCR to secure one win, one second, and two third places across two rounds. The Lynk & Co Zongheng Team dominated the TC2 category, with notable performances from previously retired drivers.
Lynk & Co believes that the racetrack is the ultimate testing ground for automotive performance. The data and experience gained from racing have continuously empowered their production vehicles. From the successful Lynk & Co 03 series adaptations to various championships, Lynk & Co is committed to integrating racing technology into their vehicle development, contributing to the evolution of China's automotive culture. Looking ahead, Lynk & Co will continue to explore new possibilities in motorsports, with the 2025 TCR World Tour set to take place in Portugal on July 5-6, where the team aims to deliver an exciting performance.
