Lumissil Microsystems Launches New Linear LED Driver Series for Automotive Lighting
Lumissil Microsystems has announced the launch of its new IS32LT315x series linear LED drivers, designed specifically for automotive lighting applications, including tail lights and brake light combinations. This series includes three devices: single-channel IS32LT3151A/B/C/D/E and three-channel IS32LT3152A/B and IS32LT3153A/B/E. The high-end linear drivers of the IS32LT315x series offer enhanced thermal optimization and fault reporting functionalities for designers. The new driver series caters to various application needs as listed in the accompanying table, differentiated by channel count, output current, and fault characteristics. The new devices provide single-channel configurations of 450mA or three-channel configurations of 150mA, with the output current adjustable via external resistors. Drivers such as IS32LT3151A/C and IS32LT3153A/B/E feature single LED short-circuit detection and support analog current adjustment for LED thermal management through external NTC resistors or dual brightness levels using external FET switches. IS32LT3151B/D/E and IS32LT3152A/B drivers limit some functionalities to prioritize compact packaging and cost-saving goals.
