Leap Motor Celebrates Ten Years of Growth Amidst Industry Challenges

In today's automotive market, companies are under pressure from both the transition to new energy and price wars. However, some brands are defying the odds, with Leap Motor being one of the 'dark horses'. In the first half of 2025, the brand's total deliveries reached 221,664 units, marking a 155.7% year-on-year increase, and it has topped the sales chart among new forces for four consecutive months. July 2023 marks the tenth anniversary of Leap Motor. Over the past decade, the company has transformed from a point of skepticism to a success story, showcasing a remarkable journey. Founder and CEO Zhu Jiangming reflected on the past decade during the launch event of the new C11, recalling how six years ago, people doubted his automotive knowledge and three years ago, many said Leap Motor wouldn’t survive a year. Now, after ten years, Leap Motor is stronger and clearer in its direction. The new C11, launched after four years of development, features comprehensive upgrades across design, smart cockpit, range, driving assistance, driving experience, and safety, with over 110 significant improvements, redefining the price-performance ratio for smart SUVs. The starting price is set between 149,800 and 165,800 yuan. Leap Motor has achieved over 800,000 cumulative deliveries by June 30, 2023, claiming the top spot among new car manufacturers. Zhu Jiangming noted that being the sales champion is not an ultimate goal, as many brands have achieved this status and disappeared. Looking ahead, Leap Motor aims for sustainable growth and profitability, with plans for a product matrix expansion including models B10, C16, C10, C11, C01, and T03. The company emphasizes self-research and development, achieving 65% self-manufacturing of core components, which helps maintain competitive pricing while delivering high-quality products. Looking forward to the next decade, Zhu Jiangming expressed that maintaining focus on goals and continuous innovation will be key to Leap Motor's further success.
