Lantu Automotive Launches New Model Lantu FREE+ Amidst Malicious Defamation
On July 16, Lantu Automotive's legal department released a stern statement regarding the recent launch of their new model, the Lantu FREE+. Within 15 minutes of its release, the vehicle received 11,583 pre-orders. However, at the same time, a group of malicious individuals has been systematically spreading fabricated and defamatory content targeting the Lantu brand and its products, severely damaging its reputation. In response, Lantu's legal department has reported the matter to the public security network police and has preserved evidence of the defamation and rumors, with initial leads pointing to a brand agent. The police will follow up with relevant parties for discussions. Furthermore, Lantu Automotive emphasized that the internet is not a lawless place, and they will resort to legal measures against those maliciously slandering and damaging the Lantu brand's reputation. The company encourages netizens and relevant informants to actively report any illegal activities, with verified reports being rewarded. The Lantu FREE+ was launched on July 12, offering three models starting at 219,900 yuan. The rear-drive and four-wheel-drive models are now available for delivery. The exterior features a distinctive 'urban light and shadow aesthetic' design, with six notable color options including Glazed Purple and Champagne Gold. In terms of power, the vehicle is powered by a 1.5T range-extended hybrid system, with the two-wheel-drive version's motor providing a maximum power of 215 kW, and the four-wheel-drive version's front and rear motors offering maximum powers of 135 kW and 215 kW, respectively, achieving 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.9 seconds.
