Kawasaki Motor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Recalls Some Imported ZX636 Motorcycles

Kawasaki Motor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the regulations on the management of defective automotive product recalls. The recall, identified as S2025M0117V, affects 1,691 units of the imported ZX636 motorcycles produced between February 20, 2024, and April 18, 2025. Some vehicles in the recall range may have an issue with the torque of the bolts securing the crankshaft in the engine crankcase, potentially leading to damage to the crankshaft bearing and loss of power during operation, posing a safety risk. Kawasaki Motor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will inspect the affected vehicles and replace any damaged components, ensuring the crankshaft bolts are tightened to the appropriate torque to eliminate the safety hazard. Authorized dealers will notify affected users by registered mail, phone, and other means. Users can call the after-sales service hotline at 400-920-1068 for more information regarding the recall.
