Geely's New Energy Models Achieve Euro NCAP Five-Star Ratings
On July 9, Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme), the world's most authoritative car safety evaluation organization, released the results of its latest collision safety tests for 2025. Three new energy models under Geely, namely Lynk & Co Z20, Zeekr 7X, and Polestar 4, have all been awarded the highest five-star safety rating, sweeping the top three spots in overall scores. Notably, the Lynk & Co Z20 achieved the highest comprehensive score for Chinese brands in the 2025 Euro NCAP evaluations, matching the highest overall score for SUV models since 2023, previously held by the Zeekr X, also from Geely. Furthermore, Geely ranked first among Chinese automakers with 1,562 safety patents, according to the latest patent disclosure ranking released by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. Geely's Panda model had already set a benchmark in 2009 by achieving a five-star safety rating in the C-NCAP tests, becoming the safest small car in the A00 segment. To date, Geely has over 40 models, including Boyue, Xingyue L, Lynk & Co 01, Galaxy E5, and Zeekr X, that have received five-star ratings from authoritative safety evaluation organizations worldwide, such as Euro NCAP, Australia’s ANCAP, and C-NCAP.
