Dongfeng Launches Updated 2026 eπ008 Six-Seat Version
On August 1, the 2026 Dongfeng eπ008 six-seat version was officially launched with a starting price of 188,600 yuan, temporarily available at a promotional price of 173,600 yuan. The new eπ008 comes in both pure electric and extended-range versions, featuring multiple upgrades across various aspects. Externally, two new colors, 'Fairy Green' and 'Sky Gray,' have been added, along with improvements to the paint formulation and process. Inside, the materials used in touch points have been upgraded to ultra-soft cloud-like fabrics, covering an area of 18 square meters. The 50W wireless charging panel now sports a suede-like finish, and the internal door handles have been redesigned to button-operated. The front and rear seats come standard with LED soft light vanity mirrors. In terms of space, the eπ008 boasts a length of 5 meters and an over 3-meter wheelbase, adopting a true three-row six-seat layout. The right side of the second-row zero-gravity seat features a 10-point massage function, with an increase in strength and area by 30%. It also includes seat ventilation/heating and a new independent climate control screen. The front seats are equipped with an 8-point massage system, also enhanced by 30%. Furthermore, the front seats can be completely reclined to accommodate various usage scenarios. In terms of smart features, the new model is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chip and integrates the DeepSeek and Doubao AI models into its vehicle system. A new sentinel mode has been introduced, and the 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen has been upgraded to a 2.5K resolution. For power, the pure electric model has a CLTC range of 620 km, while the extended-range model uses the Mach super-sensing technology, featuring a dedicated 1.5T engine with a thermal efficiency of 45.18%. Fuel consumption in the extended model is just 4.76L per 100 km, with a pure electric range of 202 km, leading to a combined range of 1220 km. The extended version also upgrades to 3C fast charging, reducing the charging time from 30% to 80% to just 15 minutes. In terms of driving assistance, the new model comes standard with over 20 driving assistance features, while higher configurations offer advanced functions like high-speed NOA navigation assistance and memory parking assistance. Safety features include a high-strength 'cage-like body structure' made of 1500 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, with the Mach power battery already meeting new national standards. The 2026 model is also equipped with an air purification system, featuring fresh air circulation and high-temperature sterilization, making it one of the first vehicles to achieve the 'Four-Dimensional Ultimate Odor Health' certification from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. During the launch event, Dongfeng eπ Technology also announced its 'Wings of the Future' strategic plan, encompassing four dimensions: technology, brand, product, and overseas expansion. Technologically, they will leverage the group’s R&D capabilities and collaborate with leading companies such as CATL, Momenta, and Baidu. Brand-wise, the core strategy focuses on 'eπ moving upward and Fengshen innovating,' with the eπ brand featuring mainstream technology and intelligent boutique series developed in partnership with Huawei, while Dongfeng Fengshen will concentrate on the global energy-efficient vehicle market. Regarding product offerings, Dongfeng eπ Technology aims to have 20 models by 2028 and over 30 overseas models by 2027, with a network of over 2000 global outlets. Furthermore, details of their collaboration with Huawei were disclosed, focusing on comprehensive cooperation from product development to marketing and ecosystem, aiming to create a product series with the highest 'Huawei content' in Dongfeng. A high-end intelligent full-size SUV from this partnership is expected to launch in 2026, with a new model to be introduced every six months thereafter.
