Lithium metal batteries currently have limited applications but hold significant potential, as their energy storage capacity is ten times greater than that of lithium-ion batteries. They possess a high energy density, meaning they can store a large amount of energy relative to their size. This makes them an ideal choice for electric vehicles, portable electronic devices, and many other high-energy consumption applications.
