According to CCTV News, China is expected to face a talent shortage of over one million in the new energy vehicle sector by 2025, with a supply-demand ratio for intelligent driving engineers as low as 0.38. To address this structural talent issue, companies like Changan Automobile have already developed their recruitment plans for graduates in 2026, aiming to significantly increase the hiring of technical skills in core areas such as intelligence, new energy, and software. The recruitment scale is expected to rise by more than 30%, expanding to over 20 related professional colleges. By the end of 2024, the national ownership of new energy vehicles is projected to reach 31.4 million, yet there are fewer than 20,000 new energy vehicle maintenance companies, with fewer than 100,000 skilled workers engaged in maintenance. As market demand grows, the shortage of maintenance talent in the new energy vehicle sector continues to expand, leading to a 'positions without people' dilemma in the industry.
