Recently, Chery's core project, the 'Fengming Innovation Center', was successfully launched and delivered in early July at the Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone in Anhui. The center is located in the 'Three Lakes' area of Wuhu, adjacent to Fengming Lake and the Line 1 of the rail transit system, covering a vast area composed of 13 individual buildings (11 of which are owned by Chery). As the hub for Chery's future technological innovation, the Fengming Innovation Center will house the company's core departments for global R&D, sales, procurement, and quality management, designed to accommodate 15,000 employees. As of early July 2025, the first batch of buildings (such as Building 1) has completed renovations and the commissioning of smart equipment, with facilities like open office areas, meeting zones, and a central garden ready for use, while the remaining buildings are being delivered in batches. The entire park is planned to be developed into a low-carbon ecological landmark for scientific and technological innovation. In terms of overseas collaborative innovation, in May of this year, Chery established the 'Kaiyang Laboratory' in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, marking Chery's first overseas collaborative innovation center. The two parties will focus on the R&D of electrification, intelligent systems, and low-carbon technologies while jointly cultivating technical talent to enhance international technological cooperation capabilities.
