BYD Achieves L4-Level Smart Parking Capability and Assures Safety for 'Tianshen Eye' Vehicles

BYD Achieves L4-Level Smart Parking Capability and Assures Safety for 'Tianshen Eye' Vehicles
On July 9, BYD announced that it has become the first company to achieve smart parking capabilities comparable to L4 level. The company promised to fully cover the safety and damages for all vehicles equipped with the 'Tianshen Eye' system in smart parking scenarios in the Chinese market. This coverage means that for accidents caused by abnormalities in the parking assistance system or algorithm errors, BYD will bear the repair costs, third-party property damage, and personal injury losses that would legally be the vehicle owner's responsibility. However, this does not include amounts paid for settlement or understanding purposes, nor does it cover compensations the vehicle owner or operator is legally required to pay due to violations.
