Apple's New Patent for Advanced Cruise Control Management

Apple's New Patent for Advanced Cruise Control Management
According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Patent Office has published a patent application from Apple that involves a smarter and more efficient approach to managing cruise control settings using an electronic interface. This technology is related to features used in Apple CarPlay Ultra. Currently, Apple CarPlay Ultra includes navigation-based intelligent cruise control capabilities. This means that in compatible vehicles, the system can use navigation data from Apple Maps to adjust vehicle speed, such as slowing down during curves or when speed limits change. The new patent application delves deeper into this feature. The issues addressed by the application include: cumbersome traditional cruise control interfaces requiring multiple keystrokes, resulting in time consumption and user frustration due to slow interaction speeds, and unnecessary battery drain in portable systems. The key innovations of this system aim to resolve these issues.
