On July 4th, it was reported that Anhui Anwa New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully launched the first batch of engineering samples from the world's first GWh-class solid-state battery production line it developed independently. This production line integrates eight major functions including automatic coating of positive and negative electrode cells, electrode membrane compounding, and dynamic thermal sealing, with a total length exceeding 35 meters and a designed capacity of 1.25 GWh. Meanwhile, the first batch of solid-state 1.0 battery samples has passed the new national standard GB38031-2025 and stringent needle penetration tests, achieving ultra-high safety with a non-flammable and non-explosive design due to the absence of liquid electrolytes. In terms of energy density, the company has achieved over 300 Wh/kg for its first-generation products, while the second-generation samples with 400 Wh/kg are in the trial production stage, with plans to launch a third-generation all-solid-state battery with energy density exceeding 500 Wh/kg by 2027. With the establishment of the world's first GWh-class production line, Anwa New Energy has completed the construction of 12 core buildings in its 150-acre new solid-state battery industrial park in Wuhu. This breakthrough not only lays the foundation for the company to achieve mass production within the year but also provides innovative solutions for fields such as power vehicles, energy storage stations, and the low-altitude economy, significantly promoting the technological upgrade of the global new energy industry. Anwa New Energy was established in June 2020 and is partially owned by Chery Group. The company focuses on the research and industrialization of semi-solid-state batteries and possesses core technologies in lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes and intelligent battery manufacturing. Earlier, in April of this year, Anwa Technology's director and general manager Gao Lixin stated that looking ahead, Anwa Technology plans to build a capacity scale of 60-100 GWh domestically and internationally, which will be gradually realized based on market demand and investment progress.
