On July 17, the 2026 Haval Big Dog was officially launched, featuring three models with a price range of 123,900 to 149,900 yuan. Haval announced limited-time benefits for buyers, allowing for a reduced price range of 98,900 to 124,900 yuan. The new model continues with the boxy design and has been upgraded in several areas. Its dimensions are 4620x1890x1780mm, with a wheelbase of 2738mm. The front end has a more refined and sporty rectangular grille with matrix-style decorations, enhancing its overall appearance. The rear now features the 'GWM' lettering along with a continuous taillight design, improving vehicle recognition. New colors, including moss green and meteor gray, have been added to meet diverse aesthetic demands. The grille adopts a modular design inspired by Sichuan opera, allowing for easy replacement in just three simple steps, and the body includes over ten modification interfaces for personalized alterations.
The interior has also seen significant upgrades, including a new two-spoke steering wheel and electronic gear shift from the Tank 300, enhancing usability. A 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 14.6-inch floating central control screen with 1920×1080 resolution enhance the smart cabin experience, supported by the Great Wall Coffee OS 3 system, which improves interaction and fluidity. Features include Huawei HiCar connectivity, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 5.1 channel audio system with ten speakers.
In terms of power, the 2026 Haval Big Dog offers a choice of 1.5T and 2.0T engines. The 1.5T model delivers a maximum power of 135 kW and torque of 275 N·m, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0T model offers 175 kW of power and 385 N·m of torque, matched with a 9-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. This variant is also equipped with a sixth-generation intelligent electronic four-wheel drive system, a central limited-slip differential, an electronically controlled rear differential lock, and an all-terrain driving assistance system with eight terrain modes, ensuring excellent performance.
Since its launch, the Haval Big Dog has created a new category in the off-road segment, balancing outdoor capabilities with urban commuting comfort, appealing to the aesthetic preferences of the younger generation. Cumulative sales have exceeded 600,000 units over five years, with nearly 62,000 units sold in the first half of this year, showing stable market performance.
