Jiyue 01 SUV Price Cut to 199,900 Yuan

Jiyue, the electric vehicle joint venture between Geely and Baidu, has announced a major price cut for its 01 SUV. The starting price for the vehicle has been reduced by 20,000 yuan, bringing the entry-level model down to 199,900 yuan.

The Jiyue 01 is a mid-size SUV that was launched in October 2023. It is built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform and is equipped with Baidu’s Apollo autonomous driving technology.

The vehicle is available in both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations. The single-motor version has a maximum power of 200 kW and a range of up to 720 km. The dual-motor version has a combined power output of 400 kW and a range of up to 660 km.

The interior features a large 35.6-inch integrated screen that spans the dashboard, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The vehicle’s advanced driver-assistance system is one of its key selling points, offering features such as automated parking and navigation on advanced driver-assistance maps.

This price reduction is seen as a move to make the Jiyue 01 more competitive in the increasingly crowded Chinese EV market.
