Voyah today announced the start of pre-sales for its new FREE+ SUV, marketed as the “ultimate Chinese-system SUV,” with prices beginning at 229,900 yuan. The company is also offering a pre-sale benefits package valued at 21,000 yuan, which includes a 3,000 yuan discount on a 2,000 yuan deposit, a free upgrade to four soft-close electric doors, dual headrest speakers for the driver and front passenger, and four-piston sport calipers.

As a comprehensive evolution of the original Voyah FREE, the FREE+ is the result of four years of development and an investment of over 500 million yuan, incorporating 1,366 upgrades, with 82 of them being best-in-class. These enhancements span the smart cockpit, assisted driving, comfort, chassis tuning, and safety features.

The Voyah FREE+ comes standard with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.0 intelligent driving system and the HarmonySpace 5 cockpit. It features an all-aluminum chassis, an EDC magic carpet suspension, and debuts the “Lanqing Mode.”

The vehicle’s dimensions are 4915mm (L) x 1960mm (W) x 1660mm (H), with a 2960mm wheelbase, offering a spacious interior with 4.8 square meters of usable space and a high space efficiency rate of 81.5%. Its exterior design includes a closed front grille, a “City Star” light-up grille with 200 LEDs offering nine dynamic effects, and hidden door handles.

The “Floating Island” interior design is available in three color schemes: Amber Brown, Deep Sea Blue, and Aurora Purple, with extensive use of genuine leather. A 15.6-inch central screen dominates the T-shaped dashboard, which also features two wireless charging pads. The new Cloud Seats 2.0 offer an 8-layer comfort design in the front and a 7-layer design in the rear. The “Queen’s co-driver” seat can recline up to 163 degrees. A unique 7-liter dual-side opening refrigerated and heated box in the rear can cool from room temperature to 0°C in just 10 minutes and has a 99.99% sterilization rate.

The powertrain is a 1.5T engine-based extended-range system, available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The 1.5T engine has a net power of 95kW. The 2WD version’s drive motor has a maximum power of 215kW, while the 4WD version features front and rear motors with maximum power of 135kW and 215kW, respectively. The vehicle is equipped with a 43.2kWh LFP battery pack, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 235/225km for the 2WD models and 196/190km for the 4WD models.
