Seres Unveils Automated EOL Testing System: AITO M9 Completes Dozens of High-Frequency Tests in 90 Minutes

Seres Group today showcased its new End-of-Line (EOL) automated testing system in a video shared on its official Weibo account, featured in a CCTV News segment on top laboratories. The system puts the AITO M9 through a series of repetitive, cyclical operations, completing dozens of high-frequency tests in 90 minutes to accurately identify and intercept any faulty vehicles.

The AITO M9 itself features advanced safety technology, including anti-collision functions in its doors and front and rear radars for automatic obstacle avoidance.

This development follows Seres’ industry-first initiative in March, which allows customers to personally participate in the final factory inspection of their vehicles before taking delivery. Earlier this month, on June 11th, AITO also announced the opening of its Super Factory for public tours. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with over 1,600 intelligent devices and more than 3,000 robots, utilizing next-generation information technologies like IoT, big data, digital twins, 5G, AI, and BIM.

The 2025 AITO M9, marketed as a “panoramic smart flagship SUV,” was launched on March 20th with a price range of 469,800 to 569,800 yuan. A “Pioneer Program” was also announced on March 14th, offering priority delivery to the first 999 customers with specific configurations.

The vehicle is equipped with four LiDAR sensors, including new side and rear short-range units, and runs on Huawei’s ADS 3.3 advanced driving system, enabling features like valet parking. It also includes two external microphones to detect and actively avoid emergency vehicles.

Powertrain updates include an upgraded 1.5T range extender with maximum power increased from 110kW to 118kW. The EREV version offers a CLTC pure electric range of 290km and a comprehensive range of 1,474km, while the pure electric version has a range of up to 630km.

The 2025 M9 also features Huawei’s Galaxy Communication for satellite calls, which can be shared with mobile phones and tablets up to 30m away from the vehicle. An electric retractable tow hook with a 1.5-ton capacity comes standard, along with innovative features like gesture-based door opening and the new Starlight car key.
