On July 22, 2025, at the 8th Smart Assisted Driving Conference, Wang Yin, head of the Central Computing Platform R&D Center at Yikaton Technology, introduced the company's core products, including smart cockpit solutions that cover various process nodes from 14 to 4 nm. He emphasized that future cabin and driving integration or central computing platforms will become mainstream, with Yikaton advancing the development of a single-chip cabin and driving integration solution. The company has also launched the Yunshan cross-domain software solution to ensure software interoperability and hardware-software decoupling while promoting the development of AI large model applications for vehicle products.
Wang noted that in response to the accelerating trend of cabin and driving integration, Yikaton developed the Yunshan cross-domain software platform using an SOA distributed communication architecture. This platform supports the entire software stack for smart cockpits, intelligent driving, vehicle control, and mobile domains, while being compatible with AUTOSAR standard middleware to achieve full decoupling of software and hardware, thus reducing development costs and shortening the solution development cycle by over 20%.
Founded in 2017 and listed on NASDAQ at the end of 2022, Yikaton currently employs 1,800 people globally, with 70% in R&D. The company has established R&D centers in 12 cities worldwide and is serving 18 OEMs across 28 vehicle brands. To respond to the increasing demand for smart solutions from global OEMs and the overseas strategies of Chinese automakers, Yikaton has set up R&D centers in Singapore, Malaysia, San Diego, and Stuttgart, among others, and has built a global smart manufacturing center in Fuyang, Hangzhou, achieving full automation and high precision in production.
In 2022, Yikaton successfully won its first major global project, the Volkswagen & Skoda global platform project. The company collaborates with numerous partners like Black Sesame, Qualcomm, and Nvidia, providing corresponding smart chip SoCs for its product lines. Yikaton's main products have historically focused on smart cockpit solutions, utilizing both domestic chips and renowned global brands like Qualcomm.
In 2023, Yikaton launched its advanced smart assisted driving solution, Yikaton Tianqiong® Pro, on Lynk & Co and Geely models using two Black Sesame Huashan A1000 chips. Wang emphasized that the future trend will lean more towards cabin and driving integration solutions due to the increasingly blurred boundaries of functionalities. For instance, features like pedestrian recognition during AVM activation raise questions about whether they belong to cockpit or assisted driving functions.
Yikaton's current and upcoming cabin and driving integration solutions include the One Chip integration solution based on the Antora 1000, which has already achieved mass production across various OEM models. By March 2026, driving functions will be integrated into this chip, enabling a 7nm cockpit chip to support infotainment, instrumentation, vehicle control, gateway, L2 ADAS functions, and APA automatic parking, achieving a five-in-one integration direction. The special design of 'hard isolation' within the Longying No. 1 architecture ensures that the ASIL-D level safety island for ADAS functions is not interfered with by other applications, maintaining real-time performance and stability.
Yikaton's cloud-based SOA software architecture is a solid foundation for integrating various functions into a single chip, addressing common issues like system freezes and unresponsive displays in smart vehicles. The company has developed a comprehensive middleware called 'ECARX Superbrain Runtime,' supporting various business layers and device interconnectivity. With a focus on standardization and automation, Yikaton aims to enhance the efficiency and compatibility of its systems across diverse platforms.
The presentation underscored Yikaton's commitment to advancing the integration of intelligent driving and cockpit functionalities while ensuring safety and performance optimization through innovative solutions.
