Wenjie M8 Fully Electric Version Officially Released Ahead of August Launch
The official images of the Wenjie M8 fully electric version have been released, with the vehicle set to officially launch in August. The new model is built on Huawei's Whale 800V high-voltage platform and will be among the first to feature Huawei's QianKun ADS 4, boasting a comprehensive CLTC range of 705 km. In terms of design, the Wenjie M8 maintains the 'Kunpeng' design language of the range-extended version but enhances its electric identity through detailed adjustments. The vehicle features a closed grille with a new dot matrix texture, and the dual-lens headlights blend with the airflow grooves, while a chrome strip runs across the front, creating a 'wing-spread' visual effect. At the rear, the ISD intelligent interactive taillights support dynamic lighting effects, allowing customization for welcome and charging scenarios. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a perception network comprising a 192-line laser radar, five 4D millimeter-wave radars, and eleven high-definition cameras, supporting no-map urban NCA. Inside, the cabin features Nappa leather seats, natural wood trim, and a suede ceiling, providing a delicate touch; the center console and door panels incorporate 'landscape' metal brushing techniques, creating an Eastern aesthetic. The new car will be among the first to feature Huawei's QianKun ADS 4, offering active safety, intelligent driving assistance, and smart parking assistance. In terms of power, the vehicle features Huawei's high-voltage seven-in-one electric drive and is equipped with a CATL 100 kWh battery across the range, ensuring a comprehensive CLTC range of 705 km. More information about the new car will be continuously reported by Chezhinet.
