On July 17, the US Department of Commerce announced that it will impose a 93.5% anti-dumping tariff on imported anode graphite from China. The department determined that graphite, a critical component for electric vehicle batteries, is currently being sold in the US at prices below fair market value. Official documents indicate that the anti-dumping duty rate and cash deposit rate for all Chinese graphite manufacturers is set at 93.5%.
