On July 17, Tesla announced that its new model, the Model Y L, will be unveiled this autumn. According to the visual images released by Tesla, the Model Y L shares a similar appearance with the current Model Y but has a longer overall body with a notably shifted C-pillar. The 'L' in the Model Y designation may signify its extended length. The Model Y L has also appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's announcement of new vehicle products. The model number is TSL6500BEVBA0, featuring a three-row, six-seat layout. The new vehicle measures 4976mm in length, 1920mm in width, and 1668mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3040mm, a curb weight of 2088kg, and a total weight of 2651kg. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with dual motors, with the front motor having a maximum power of 142 kW and the rear motor 198 kW, which are slight improvements over the current models. The Model Y has maintained high attention in the domestic electric vehicle market since its launch, and it received updates earlier this year. In January, Tesla officially launched the refreshed Model Y, which began deliveries in March. This version includes upgrades in appearance, cabin features, and range, with dozens of new and upgraded configurations, starting at 263,500 yuan. Notably, besides the Model Y L, Tesla has also filed for the Model 3+. The design of the Model 3+ continues the styling of the current model, with dimensions unchanged at 4720mm in length, 1848mm in width, and 1442mm in height, maintaining a wheelbase of 2875mm. This indicates that the Model 3+ will have a consistent appearance and space layout with the existing model. Additionally, the new vehicle is powered by a rear motor with a maximum output of 225 kW, which is an increase of 31 kW compared to the existing model's 194 kW rear motor. According to Tesla's latest data, the production and sales of its vehicles in the second quarter were 410,200 and 384,100 units, respectively, with the combined production and sales of Model 3/Y reaching 396,800 and 373,700 units. With the upcoming launch of these two newly filed models, Tesla's sales are expected to further increase.
