Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Launches Complaint Platform for Small and Medium Enterprises
According to reports from "Industry and Information Micro News," on July 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched an online feedback window for small and medium enterprises to report issues regarding key automotive companies' compliance with payment cycle commitments. This platform is part of the "National Complaint Platform for Defaulting Payments to Small and Medium Enterprises" (https://sme-dj.miit.gov.cn/car). It addresses concerns about key automotive companies not adhering to the promised payment cycles and the enforcement of the "Regulations on Guaranteeing Payments to Small and Medium Enterprises." The feedback window primarily handles four types of issues: 1) Key automotive companies failing to adhere to the 60-day payment commitment, with payment terms exceeding 60 days as stipulated in procurement contracts. 2) Unreasonable payment period starting times set by key automotive companies, unjustified delays in issuing inspection or acceptance certificates, and conditions requiring third-party payments for disbursing funds. 3) Key automotive companies forcing or coercing small and medium enterprises to accept non-cash payment methods such as commercial bills or electronic receivables. 4) Other issues related to the ineffective implementation of the "Regulations on Guaranteeing Payments to Small and Medium Enterprises" by key automotive companies. The Ministry aims to address these concerns, improve management processes, optimize payment methods, and ensure the enforcement of payment commitments to benefit small and medium enterprises. Furthermore, the Ministry will guide industry organizations to develop settlement payment norms for the automotive sector, promote contract templates, and further standardize the payment processes for automotive suppliers, fostering a collaborative and win-win ecosystem in the automotive industry for sustainable development.
