According to foreign media reports, Swiss measurement expert LEM has launched a new series of direct current energy meters—the DCES600 and DCES1500—designed to meet the evolving demands of electric vehicle fast charging and megawatt-level charging infrastructure. These new energy meters are specifically designed for high-precision energy billing and system management, providing accurate sensing throughout the charging cycle, enhancing network security, and offering flexible integration options. The DCES600 and DCES1500 meters support current levels of up to 1500 A and maintain performance in temperature ranges from -40℃ to +85℃. This ensures precise kilowatt-hour (kWh) billing throughout the charging cycle, including the low current phase commonly seen at the end of charging. Both models comply with international metering standards, paving the way for approval from European regulatory bodies, including MID 2014/32/EU and the German Eichrecht. This compliance is particularly crucial for commercial electric vehicle fleets and megawatt charging hubs where billing accuracy and traceability are essential.
