In the increasingly competitive new energy vehicle market of 2025, Leapmotor has once again demonstrated the strong vitality of its 'technology equality' strategy. On July 24, Leapmotor launched its brand new pure electric sedan, the Leapmotor B01, which is officially positioned as a 'high-quality smart sedan for young people.' The new car is available in six configurations, with prices ranging from 89,800 to 119,800 yuan, offering three CLTC range options of 430 km, 550 km, and 650 km. The B01 features smooth body lines with a drag coefficient of 0.197 Cd. The front face is characterized by a through-type LED light strip and split headlights, creating a sense of technology, while the rectangular light group and closed grille at the bottom merge seamlessly, resulting in a simple overall shape. The side profile features hidden door handles and a coupe-like design, balancing aerodynamics and rear passenger space, with a wheelbase of 2735 mm and an 86% utilization rate, providing a spacious seating experience. The rear end sports an aerodynamic ducktail and blacked-out through-type taillights, enhancing its sporty character. The new model offers eight paint options, including personalized colors developed in collaboration with Pantone, such as 'Morgan Pink.' In terms of dimensions, the B01 measures 4770 mm in length and achieves B-class space performance within an A-class size. The interior is designed with a geometric hollow and floating design to create a sense of layering. The dual-tone interior in Moon Purple and Cloud Gray is paired with a two-tone flat-bottom steering wheel, enhancing the tech ambiance. The materials used include large areas of soft-touch coverings with piano lacquer and matte metal accents for added refinement. The core of the Leapmotor B01 cabin features a 14.6-inch 2.5K resolution central control screen powered by the Qualcomm 8295 cockpit chip. The system runs on Leapmotor OS 4.0, offering features like '3D Dynamic Desktop,' 'One Mirror for All,' and split-screen mode. The AI voice assistant integrates dual models of DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen, supporting multi-intent commands, dialect recognition, sustained conversations up to 60 seconds, and 'Text-to-Image' capabilities. The new car also includes the 'Zero Motion Space' customizable scene feature, allowing users to combine over 200 atomic capabilities to create personalized scenes. The lidar version is equipped with a Qualcomm 8650 chip and lidar technology. The driving assistance system, named Leapmotor Pilot, provides high-speed navigation assistance, commuting navigation assistance, and a self-developed parking memory function (HPA). The HPA feature allows the vehicle to learn a parking route of up to 1 km and supports remote parking via a mobile app. All models come standard with a 360° panoramic camera and transparent chassis feature, while the sentinel mode will be available in mid-range models through OTA upgrades. In terms of power, the car offers three range versions of 430 km, 550 km, and 650 km, with a seven-in-one oil-cooled electric drive assembly and rear-wheel drive layout, delivering a maximum power of 160 kW and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The chassis has been jointly tuned by Leapmotor and Stellantis Group, featuring a front MacPherson and rear five-link independent suspension, combined with the CTC 2.0 Plus battery chassis integration technology to enhance handling stability. According to official data, the fastest time to charge from 30% to 80% SOC is 18 minutes, and the energy consumption is 11.4 kWh per 100 km. It is equipped with a 27-in-1 super integrated thermal management system and a wide-temperature heat pump air conditioning. In the increasingly competitive Chinese new energy vehicle market, Leapmotor has delivered impressive results. From January to June 2025, Leapmotor delivered a total of 221,700 units, a year-on-year increase of 138%, ranking first among Chinese new force brands for four consecutive months. Notably, sales reached 37,000 units in March and surpassed 48,000 units in June, showing a strong growth trend. In terms of exports, over 17,200 units were exported from January to May, covering various international markets including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The steady increase in sales is attributed to Leapmotor's long-term investment and accumulation in core technology areas. Leapmotor has achieved a highly integrated design through its fully self-developed technology framework (LEAP 3.5), with self-developed and manufactured components accounting for 65% of the total vehicle cost. In 2025, the company plans to launch multiple new models to enhance its product matrix and accelerate its globalization process: establishing a joint venture with Stellantis Group and planning to set up 500 sales outlets in Europe, with localized production gradually being established in places like Malaysia. The launch of the Leapmotor B01 and the impressive performance in the first half of the year reflect its precise positioning in the mainstream market and the effectiveness of its technology equity strategy. In the sub-market of electric sedans priced around 100,000 yuan, the B01 provides young consumers with a new choice through its balanced performance in range, intelligence, and space. Leapmotor's overall performance verifies the feasibility of the 'technology equality' concept in large-scale production. In the future, with the comprehensive rollout of the B series models and a deeper penetration into overseas markets, Leapmotor must continue to balance cost control and technological iteration to address the dual challenges of industry price wars and technological competition.
