On July 23, it was reported that Lantu Automotive's CBO, Shao Mingfeng, stated that over the weekend to the first working day of this week, the FREE+ model performed excellently, garnering over 70,000 leads and securing more than 2,000 orders, with nearly 1,000 units delivered swiftly. He mentioned that the FREE+ is becoming another hit model following the Dreamer. Shao also noted that the average age of FREE+ owners is 32, which is 5 years younger than Lantu's historical user age. 'Data from various social media platforms indicates that more and more young friends are paying attention to us and choosing our products,' Shao stated. Notably, on June 25, Lantu announced that the FREE+ model had exceeded 10,000 small orders within 18 hours of its pre-sale launch on June 24, with a starting price of 229,900 yuan. Additionally, the FREE+ comes with a launch benefit worth 46,000 yuan and the brand's entire lineup has upgraded to a ‘lifetime free warranty on the three electric components’. The FREE+ is a comprehensive evolution of the Lantu FREE, featuring upgrades in intelligent cockpit, auxiliary driving, comfort, chassis tuning, and safety configurations. As for the model specifics, the Lantu FREE+ is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV with dimensions of 4915x1960x1660mm and a wheelbase of 2960mm. In terms of appearance, it features a closed front grille with headlamps connected by black trim and a city starlight luminous grille composed of 200 LED lights, offering 9 different dynamic light effects. The car is equipped with hidden door handles, and the rear design retains the original lamp group while adjusting the rear bumper. Configuration-wise, the Lantu FREE+ is standard-equipped with Huawei's latest Intelligent Driving Assistance System ADS 4.0 and HarmonyOS cockpit HarmonySpace 5, features an aluminum chassis with CDC electromagnetic damping for balanced handling and comfort, and includes air suspension with a height adjustment of 100mm. In terms of power, the Lantu FREE+ is powered by a range-extended hybrid system, using a 1.5T engine as a range extender, available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions, standard with a 45Wh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a pure electric range of up to 235 kilometers under CLTC standards and a combined range exceeding 1,200 kilometers.
