KYOCERA AVX Launches New 6780-000 Series IP20 T1 Industrial SPE Connectors

On July 24, advanced electronic component manufacturer KYOCERA AVX launched its new 6780-000 series IP20 T1 Industrial Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) connectors and cable assemblies. The new 6780-000 series T1 Industrial SPE connectors are designed to meet the growing demand for smaller and faster industrial Ethernet connectors that enable continuous communication and simplify networks. They transmit Ethernet data over a single twisted pair of copper wires while providing power to end devices through Power over Data Lines (PoDL) technology. Traditional RJ45 Ethernet connectors require two pairs of wires for Fast Ethernet (100Mb/s) and four pairs for Gigabit Ethernet (1Gb/s), and do not provide power. In contrast, the new 6780-000 series SPE connectors save valuable space and weight by reducing wiring requirements and featuring a compact design, requiring 45% less circuit board space than RJ45 connectors.
