Recently, Jetta officially released teaser images of the Jetta VS8. The new vehicle is positioned as a mid-sized SUV, featuring a completely new design style and powered by a 1.4T engine. It is reported that the new model will make its debut soon and is expected to be launched within the year. The teaser images reveal a front fascia with a borderless grille design, where the three-dimensional structure extends to the sides and connects with LED light strips, enhancing the overall visual impact. The lower bumper is equipped with black decorative elements, and silver accents have also been added to the lower lip, giving it a sportier appearance. The side profile features a relatively straight character line, with color-matched side mirrors, roof rails, and traditional door handles. Additionally, the new model will offer two wheel sizes of 17 inches and 18 inches, along with three different designs. In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 4629mm in length, 1851mm in width, and 1624mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2731mm. The rear of the vehicle showcases a continuous tail light design with a dynamic lighting effect. The bottom features a hidden exhaust layout, and the rear bumper includes decorative elements with contrasting colors, while the 'VS8' badge on the right side of the tailgate indicates its identity. Under the hood, the new model is equipped with a DLE-coded 1.4T engine, delivering a maximum power of 110 kW, consistent with the existing VS7, and is likely paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
