Ford Motor Company (China) Limited has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. The recall began on July 16 for several models. The recalled vehicles include: (1) Some 2022-2024 Lincoln Navigators produced from December 7, 2021, to August 16, 2024, totaling 2,264 vehicles. The reason for the recall is that in some vehicles within this range, the right front brake pipe may interfere and wear against the air filter outlet pipe, leading to brake fluid leakage, reduced braking efficiency, longer stopping distances, and an increased risk of collision, presenting a safety hazard. Ford will authorize dealers to inspect and correct the layout of the right front brake pipe for free, replacing any worn parts to eliminate safety risks. (2) Some 2018-2022 Lincoln Navigators produced from November 3, 2017, to September 2, 2022, totaling 43 vehicles; some 2018-2020 Ford F-150s produced from October 10, 2017, to July 24, 2020, totaling 35 vehicles; and some 2018-2022 Ford Mustangs produced from February 15, 2018, to April 25, 2022, totaling 5 vehicles. The reason for this recall is due to a software deviation in the electric power steering assembly replaced during after-sales service, which may cause the steering wheel to rapidly alternate between clockwise and counterclockwise without warning, posing a safety risk. Ford will authorize dealers to update the electric power steering control module software for free in the recalled vehicles to eliminate safety risks. (3) Some 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigators produced from December 4, 2014, to June 25, 2017, totaling 2,556 vehicles. The reason for this recall is that some vehicles within this range may have poor sealing of the welcome light in the outer rearview mirror due to manufacturing issues, potentially leading to internal short circuits from external liquid exposure, posing a fire risk. Ford will authorize dealers to disconnect the welcome light connections in the recalled vehicles to eliminate safety hazards.
