On August 1, Dongfeng Yipai Automotive Technology held a strategic release event and new car launch in Wuhan. This event is an important initiative to integrate advantageous resources and refresh the brand strategy, in collaboration with Huawei to inject new momentum into the new energy vehicle industry. It aims to provide users with more reliable, intelligent, and comfortable travel solutions, marking a new phase in the integration of technological self-research and user services for Chinese automotive brands. During the event, Dongfeng Yipai announced its 'Future Wings' strategic plan, which includes four strategic pillars: technology, products, brand, and overseas expansion, to support rapid development. The 2026 Dongfeng Yipai eπ008 was officially announced with a limited-time introductory price of 173,600 yuan, while the Dongfeng Fengshen L8 also made its global debut. Dongfeng Motor Chairman Yang Qing attended and delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of user-centricity and technological foundation. He stated, 'Dongfeng Yipai is the main force of Dongfeng Motor’s independent passenger vehicle business, and Dongfeng will leverage its strong state-owned enterprise advantages to support innovation and development, making it a model of a user-oriented and technology-driven enterprise.' Yang Qing also highlighted the establishment of four major technological moats since the 14th Five-Year Plan, focusing on green, intelligent, and high-end automotive demand trends, and aims to build a full range of new energy intelligent connected vehicles. Since the beginning of 2023, Dongfeng has focused on the transition to new energy, implementing a 'Leap Action' for new energy passenger vehicles, integrating operations across three major brands, with a projected total sales of 213,000 units in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 82.4%. In July, Dongfeng Yipai sold 27,923 units, a growth of 70.9%, with a cumulative total of 134,592 units from January to July, marking a year-on-year increase of 32%. With the continuous upgrade of user demand, Dongfeng has further focused on users, integrating the Fengshen, Yipai, and Nano brands, establishing the Dongfeng Yipai Automotive Technology Company on June 26. General Manager Wang Junjun stated that the newly established Dongfeng Yipai Technology will be a user-centric and technology-based company, dedicated to becoming a technology-driven partner for intelligent travel solutions. Wang emphasized that user reputation is the lifeline of the company, proposing the motto: 'User issues will receive a 10-minute response; solutions will be provided within an hour, and satisfaction will be ensured within a day.' The brand will focus on excellence, refining details and enhancing experiences to deliver superior quality and unique value. To improve efficiency, Dongfeng Yipai initiated a revolution in efficiency, ensuring immediate response to user needs and prompt internal process solutions. Dongfeng Yipai will uphold four major technological moats: safety, control, intelligence, and quality, focusing on technology as a foundation and products as a decisive factor, measuring product value by user satisfaction. The four strategic pillars collaboratively support Dongfeng Yipai’s brand launch, with the goal of 'gathering the love of millions of users and generating limitless excitement.' Wang Junjun officially released the 'Future Wings' strategy, comprising four strategic pillars: 'Technology Wing,' 'Brand Wing,' 'Product Wing,' and 'Overseas Wing,' to help Dongfeng Yipai soar high. The 'Technology Wing' focuses on Dongfeng Yipai's technological layout, supported by 56 years of automotive experience and significant investment in research and development. The 'Brand Wing' emphasizes the integration of different brands under Dongfeng, while the 'Product Wing' plans to launch a wide range of models by 2028. The 'Overseas Wing' aims to develop global markets through optimized channels and localized operations. Dongfeng Yipai’s strategic model aims to meet the growing demand for new energy vehicles worldwide with innovative products and technologies.
